Job Summary
Meet customers, listen to project needs, and build creative design concepts incorporating personal style, lifestyle, and budget. Provide advice on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects, then design and sell complete, functional solutions. Manage multiple simultaneous customer projects through all phases with high accuracy, ensuring consistent communication and follow-up. Collaborate with store leadership to handle inquiries to installation while modeling best practices and engaging in current design trends. Utilize design applications including Salesforce and the Online Design Appointment Scheduler to perform duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of One (1) year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience
- Degree in Design is a plus
- Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
- Proficient in basic mathematical skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite
- Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position
- Proficient and consistent use of company communication tools and emails are required
