Job Summary
Greet store customers, listen to project needs, and build creative design concepts incorporating personal style, lifestyle, and budget. Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers while developing clientele through networking, referrals, and in-store leads. Provide advice on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects, then manage multiple simultaneous customer projects through all phases with high accuracy and consistent communication. Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation, achieve sales goals, and model best practices with employees. Engage in current design trends and utilize design applications including Salesforce and the Online Design Appointment Scheduler.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of One (1) year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience
- Degree in Design is a plus
- Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
- Proficient in basic mathematical skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite
- Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position
- Proficient and consistent use of company communication tools and emails are required
Desired Qualifications
