Job Summary
Greet store customers, listen to project needs, and build creative design concepts incorporating personal style and budget. Schedule appointments for existing and potential clients while developing clientele through networking and referrals. Provide advice on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects, and manage multiple simultaneous customer projects from inquiry to installation. Collaborate with store leadership to achieve sales goals and model best practices with employees. Engage in current design trends and utilize design applications like Salesforce and the Online Design Appointment Scheduler. Perform duties in a warehouse environment with moderate to noisy conditions, requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work Monday through Sunday with flexible hours, including pickup shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of One (1) year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience
- Degree in Design is a plus
- Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
- Proficient in basic mathematical skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite
- Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position
- Proficient and consistent use of company communication tools and emails are required
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred
- Experience with Salesforce
- Experience with proprietary Online Design Appointment Scheduler
- Experience with MyProject
