Job Summary
Prepare engineering drawings using CAD programs (Inventor, AutoCAD, Siemens NX & Medusa) and create Bills of Materials within the ERP system (SAP). Interpret design requirements, perform calculations, and create design layouts for centrifugal pumps and components in accordance with customer specifications. May contact suppliers and other departments to coordinate design work, perform stress analysis, and assign or check the work of others. Support company-wide EHS Management System by following all safety, health, and environmental policies. This junior-level role involves assisting in the design and order processing of pump products at our Burnaby facility, with occasional exposure to the manufacturing workshop.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Design Technology
- courses as mechanical design
- courses as hydraulics
- courses as computer-aided drafting (2D/3D)
- One to two years of experience in a design and manufacturing environment
- experience using techniques applicable to product design and order processing
Desired Qualifications
- SAP and Teamcenter experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
