Job Summary
Develop and maintain 3D models of foundation and structural steel systems using CADWorx Plant/CADWorx Structure, producing detailed design drawings and layouts from engineering calculations. Independently generate 3D structural models and 2D engineering drawings throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating with engineering disciplines for model integration and spatial coordination. Participate in 3D model coordination activities including clash detection and interface resolution, while interfacing with stress and pipe support engineers to ensure design compatibility. Prepare concrete details and location drawings for support foundations, develop structural detail drawings for equipment skids and pipe racks, and create reinforcement schedules and material take-offs. Perform independent QA/QC reviews of civil-structural design deliverables, review drawings from other disciplines, and respond to Request for Information (RFIs) to maintain drawing accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in civil-structural systems design
- All qualified candidates will be required to complete an in-person, computer-based assessment
- Minimum of five (5) years of current experience with AutoCAD, CADWorx, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office
- Detailed knowledge in the application of Codes and current Standards, including but not limited to: ACI 318, AISC, OSHA
- Ability to independently research and interpret equipment data, vendor documentation, and technical references
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders
- Must be available for Arlington or Houston, Texas
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
