Job Summary
Develop and maintain 3D models of foundation and structural steel systems using CADWorx Plant/CADWorx Structure, producing detailed design drawings and layouts from engineering calculations. Independently generate 3D structural models and 2D engineering drawings throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating with engineering disciplines for model integration and spatial coordination. Produce concrete details, structural layout drawings, and demolition drawings for equipment skids, pipe racks, and cable tray supports. Perform independent QA/QC reviews of civil-structural design deliverables, verify site-development alignment, and respond to RFIs to maintain drawing accuracy. Prepare reinforcement schedules, material take-offs, and structural bills of materials to support fabrication and construction activities.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in civil-structural systems design
- Minimum of five (5) years of current experience with AutoCAD
- Minimum of five (5) years of current experience with CADWorx
- Minimum of five (5) years of current experience with Navisworks
- Minimum of five (5) years of current experience with Microsoft Office
- Detailed knowledge in the application of Codes and current Standards, including but not limited to: ACI 318
- Detailed knowledge in the application of Codes and current Standards, including but not limited to: AISC
- Detailed knowledge in the application of Codes and current Standards, including but not limited to: OSHA
- Ability to independently research and interpret equipment data, vendor documentation, and technical references
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
