Job Summary
Prepare detailed structural designs and drawings for bridges and civil structures in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Support the development of preliminary and detailed design packages for transportation infrastructure projects by collaborating with engineers, technologists, and project managers to deliver coordinated design solutions. Assist with quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and constructability reviews while incorporating sustainability, safety, and quality considerations into all design work. Participate in design reviews, apply feedback to improve technical outputs, and contribute to project documentation and client deliverables. Support field reviews and construction-phase services as required. This role is part of WSP's global engineering organization, where multidisciplinary teams shape resilient transportation infrastructure to connect communities and support sustainable growth.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience supporting the design of bridges and/or civil structures within a consulting or engineering environment
- Proficiency with structural design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar)
- Working knowledge of Canadian bridge and structural design codes and standards
- Eligibility to work in Canada
