Job Summary

Liaise daily with statutory and non-statutory agencies, parents/carers, and staff on matters of wellbeing, child protection, and safeguarding. Serve as the primary source of support, advice, and expertise within the team to ensure children's needs are fully recognised and comprehensively met. Collaborate with leadership and colleagues across different Witherslack Group locations to enable skill progression and development. This role reports directly to the Head Teacher and is part of a specialist SEND provider known for its inclusive approach to children with complex needs, including autism, SEMH, and communication difficulties.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3 years' experience in a Designated Safeguarding Lead role
  • Comprehensive portfolio of CPD related to Safeguarding and Child Protection
  • Outstanding interpersonal and problem resolution skills
  • A genuinely empathetic approach
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Enhanced DBS check
