Job Summary
Designated Charge RN leads the department on frontline, coordinating resources and guiding the nursing team to deliver high-quality and safe patient care. Responsibilities include monitoring and managing patient flow, delegating assignments based on acuity, providing clinical guidance to staff, ensuring smooth shift handovers with comprehensive reports, ensuring adherence to policies, implementing quality initiatives, addressing staff concerns in real time, developing therapeutic relationships with patients and families, and complying with laws and regulations while maintaining patient information. The role also involves contributing to department education, participating in leadership development, and supporting staff evaluations; requires RN licensure in Kansas and an associate degree or nursing diploma (with preferred BSN).
Required Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing or diploma
- Current Basic life Support for Healthcare Providers
- Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Kansas
