Job Summary
Support electrical engineers with Altium schematic capture, PCB layout, and component verification while maintaining symbol and footprint libraries. Translate engineering direction into PCB layouts, test fixtures, and electrical documentation. Build, rework, and troubleshoot prototype PCBAs, cable assemblies, and electro-mechanical designs using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and LabVIEW. Perform board checkouts, unit testing, and system bring-up to validate design performance and collect data. Prepare PCB documentation, BOMs, test protocols, and change orders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks and communicate technical concerns. Maintain lab organization and equipment calibration for development testing.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting electrical engineers with schematic capture, PCB layout and component verification
- High school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries)
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A)
Desired Qualifications
- 15 years of experience preferred
- Medical device industry preferred
- In depth understanding of electro-mechanical systems utilizing embedded software
- Direct experience with capital equipment platforms
- Experience with Altium or similar board layout tools i.e., Cadence/Allegro
- Previous experience in medical device product development
- Experience with Labview
- General Programming knowledge
