Job Summary
Design Technician I Design - Indirect collaborates with outside sales personnel and customers to accurately complete, safe and quality structures. Develop and complete design details from original concept drawings; prepare layouts and rough sketches; write technical descriptions; review designs for efficient use of inventory, equipment, and labor; ensure stability, deflection and load carries meet codes; follow quality control procedures; confer with clients and design staff; demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement; perform other duties as assigned. Skills include PrimeCad, AutoCAD, MS Word/Excel, reading/interpreting technical documents, preparing design modifications, and presenting information to management.
Required Qualifications
- Associate0a9s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
