Job Summary
Design & Technical Services Manager at Accor, overseeing design interpretation, project management, and delivery of hotel design concepts from concept to completion. Lead review of opportunities, ensure design, technical services and operational feasibility, manage end-to-end project lifecycle, coordinate with owners, consultants and stakeholders, ensure compliance with brand and product standards, develop property improvement plans, present design concepts, oversee prototyping (Mock-Up Rooms, FF&E), support construction and pre-opening phases, and travel as needed. Requires 10+ years in hotel hospitality design/renovation/FF&E, Bachelor’s or Master’s in relevant fields, strong drafting interpretation, FF&E and cost-management experience, stakeholder management, and proficiency with design/tracking tools; must be based in Sydney with Australian working rights.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years’ experience specializing in Hotel Hospitality Project Design, Renovation, FFE Fitout & Project Management
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction, or Project Management
- Strong foundation in interior, architectural design and refurbishment, with solid knowledge of local Building Codes & Standards
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to read and interpret interior, architectural, engineering and mechanical, and construction drawings
- Strong experience in Interior finishes, design, cost strategies, value management process and FF&E
- Knowledge in technical services
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, scheduling, project and database management software (e.g. Powerpoint, Adobe, Bluebeam, Aconex, Procore)
- Knowledgeable about innovation, sustainability and trends both in and outside of industry
- Flexibility in working hours and the ability to travel frequently
- Candidate must be based in Sydney
