Job Summary
Design Supervisor responsible for the training and development of the design team, and for driving sales for Floor and Decor. Delivers exceptional customer service through design services, greets customers, schedules design appointments, and provides tile, wood, stone and accessories advice for residential and commercial projects. Leads design projects from inquiry to installation, collaborates with store leadership, and utilizes design applications (Salesforce, Online Design Appointment Scheduler, MyProject, James Martin, HousPro). Requires 6 years interior design experience or an equivalent combination of education/experience, 3-5 years of leadership, and familiarity with hard surface flooring. Includes hiring and developing staff, maintaining calendar, networking, and pursuing local professional affiliations (ASID, NKBA). Performs other duties as assigned and supports company initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design)
- 6 years interior design experience in lieu of design education
- Combination of education and experience equal to 6 years
- 3-5 years of leadership or management experience
- Knowledge of hard surface flooring preferred
- Proficient in basic mathematical skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite
- Proficient and consistent use of company communication tools and emails
