Job Summary
Design Specialist II within TELUS Health's Implementation Team responsible for the technical backbone of critical health and welfare benefits platforms. You will diagnose and resolve production issues, configure client-specific plan offerings and annual enrollment changes, produce clear configuration designs and estimates, ensure quality and standards, perform technical analysis, and collaborate with multiple clients to ensure implementations run smoothly. Requires 5+ years in IT/configuration/implementation, strong SQL (MS SQL Server), knowledge of OO programming (Java, C#, Python), and experience with configuration tools; exposure to benefits/payroll domains and ASP.NET/web app development are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT or system configuration/implementation experience
- Hands-on experience implementing and configuring enterprise systems
- SQL is mandatory (experience with MS SQL Server)
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming (Java, C#, Python, etc.)
- Experience with configuration tools or designing solutions in object-oriented environments
- Ability to analyze client business requirements and document solutions clearly
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
- Nice-to-Have: H&W Benefits or Payroll industry experience
- Nice-to-Have: ASP.NET or web application development background
