Job Summary
Design & Service Center Manager oversees daily operations of the DSC Repair Shop, driving production plans, quality control, and profitability. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, mentoring and coaching a high-performing team; organizing workflow and allocating resources; ensuring on-time delivery, quality standards, and customer satisfaction; providing cost estimates within 24 hours and ordering parts within 2 days; maintaining inventory control, safety, and process improvements; coordinating with stores and district leadership; and traveling as needed to support stores. The role emphasizes developing training, implementing performance plans, and leading the DSC team toward promoting-from-within advancement, with requirements including leadership, jewelry manufacturing skills, and experience in jewelry repair processes (stone setting, sizing, polishing, CAD/CAM) and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Associates or Bachelor degree in related field preferred but not required
- Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability
- GIA Gemology training preferred but not required
- CAD skills preferred but not required
- CAM skills preferred but not required
- Prior management experience preferred
- Experience with performance and driving metrics
- Ability to lead and train teams
- Strong communication and leadership skills
