Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one design consultations in-store and in-home to assist clients with living space design and drive store sales. Perform productive in-home visits to measure and assess client spaces, then create and present tailored design plans based on their needs and preferences. Maintain current knowledge of sales and promotions to exceed productivity goals while utilizing exemplary service standards for special orders, deliveries, and catalog assistance. Demonstrate superior product knowledge across the entire design studio assortment. Requires 1-2 years of customer service or retail sales experience, ability to coordinate complex large orders, and physical mobility to lift up to 75 lbs. Weekend availability is mandatory for part-time flex roles.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication, clienteling and customer follow-up skills
- Ability to complete and coordinate complex large orders within a variety of sales channels
- 1-2 years of customer service and retail sales experience
- Must be able to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
- Full time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business
- Part-Time Flex associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled shifts on the weekend (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday) and two during the week (Monday to Thursday)
- Weekend availability cannot fall on the same day; an associate must be available on two separate days (Friday and Saturday, Friday and Sunday or Saturday and Sunday)
- For an associate to be scheduled 20 hours or more weekly, greater availability (beyond the minimum required above) that meets the needs of the business will be required
