Design Sales Specialist/Home Stylist, Part Time Flex, Portland - West Elm

In this Part Time Flex Design Studio Specialist role at West Elm, you will inspire customers to express themselves in their home, bring the shopping experience to a seamless close as you assist customers and complete sales at the cash wrap, and promote continued customer engagement. You will conduct one-on-one in-store and in-home consultations to drive store sales, measure and assess living spaces, create and present design plans, and maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions to achieve sales and productivity goals. You will assist with gift wrap, gift registry, catalog/internet orders, special orders, back orders, charge sends, courier deliveries, and furniture orders, while demonstrating product knowledge of the design studio assortment and delivering world-class service. Strong communication, clienteling, and ability to coordinate complex large orders across sales channels are required, with 1-2 years of customer service and retail sales experience preferred. Must be mobile on the sales floor and able to lift up to 75 lbs., with open weekend availability for Part-Time Flex. Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on location and experience.
