Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one design consultations in-store and in-home to assist clients with living space design and drive store sales. Accurately measure client spaces, create design plans based on their needs and preferences, and promote current promotions to exceed productivity goals. Deliver exceptional service by handling special orders, gift wrapping, catalog/internet orders, courier deliveries, and furniture logistics. Demonstrate superior product knowledge across the entire design studio assortment while coordinating complex large orders across various sales channels.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication, clienteling and customer follow-up skills
- Ability to complete and coordinate complex large orders within a variety of sales channels
- 1-2 years of customer service and retail sales experience
- Must be able to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
- Full time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business
- Part-Time Flex associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled shifts on the weekend (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday) and two during the week (Monday to Thursday)
- Weekend availability cannot fall on the same day; an associate must be available on two separate days (Friday and Saturday, Friday and Sunday or Saturday and Sunday)
- For an associate to be scheduled 20 hours or more weekly, greater availability (beyond the minimum required above) that meets the needs of the business will be required
