Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one design consultations in-store and in-home to assist clients with living space design and drive store sales. Measure and assess client spaces, then create and present tailored design plans based on their needs, style, and preferences. Utilize product knowledge to execute special services including gift wrap, merchandise locating, catalog orders, and furniture deliveries. Maintain current sales and promotion knowledge to exceed established productivity goals while coordinating complex large orders across multiple sales channels. Requires full-time availability with open scheduling to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication, clienteling and customer follow-up skills
- Ability to complete and coordinate complex large orders within a variety of sales channels
- 1-2 years of customer service and retail sales experience
- Must be able to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
- Full time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business
- Part-Time Flex associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled shifts on the weekend (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday) and two during the week (Monday to Thursday)
- For an associate to be scheduled 20 hours or more weekly, greater availability (beyond the minimum required above) that meets the needs of the business will be required
- Weekend availability cannot fall on the same day; an associate must be available on two separate days (Friday and Saturday, Friday and Sunday or Saturday and Sunday)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in working with the elements of design preferred
- Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
