Job Summary
Design Project Manager responsible for planning, organizing and directing the engineering department to meet project objectives for design, new product development, and improvement of existing product lines. Key duties include directing engineering activities for project execution, contract review, quality management, and product development; managing internal/external engineering resources; overseeing daily departmental workflow; facilitating clear communication of specifications, budgets, and deadlines with clients and engineers; creating project timelines and cost projections; ensuring compliance with specifications, timelines, and budgets; reviewing technical work for accuracy; maintaining policies and standards; staying current with trends and technologies to improve product lines and production efficiency; managing cost planning and control; leading development and design execution of Stellar Energy’s product line; managing technical specifications, procedures, and design data; coordinating with other disciplines; managing engineering subcontracts; driving schedule with Engineering and CPM; coordinating NPI gates and design reviews; and supporting ISO 9001 and other audits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited University
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in power generation design, cooling system design, or similar design project working experience
- Familiar with ASME B31, NEC, ASHRAE, AHRI, CTI, HI, and various building codes
- Familiar with selection and technical requirement of general mechanical equipment including chillers, pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, etc.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States
