Design project Manager

Job Summary
Oversee design projects to ensure completion on time, within budget, and according to company standards. Supervise Senior Project Managers and Project Managers while establishing governance, controls, and frameworks for the project portfolio. Prioritize tasks, set deadlines, and allocate resources across initiatives, managing planning, milestones, scope, and change management. Analyze project financials, including budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessment, to monitor performance and ensure adherence to approved limits. Coordinate cross-functional programs through completion, ensuring successful implementation of PMO strategy and capturing lessons learned during closeout.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Minimum 20 years of experience in design-related engineering roles
- Minimum 10 years in a leadership role
- Strong theoretical background in PMO principles, architectural engineering, mega projects, and modern design practices
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera, Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Office
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and project lifecycle
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate and influence stakeholders at all management levels
- Proficient in English
- Willingness to travel as required
- Ability to work overtime when required

Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred
- Professional certifications in relevant design disciplines are an advantage
- Experience in project planning, cost estimation, manpower estimation, value engineering, QA/QC, LEED, health & safety is preferred
- PMP certification is preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Knowledge of presentation and animation software
