Job Summary
Manage drafters in the office from 8:30am to 5pm while coordinating architectural, structural, and civil plans using AutoCAD. Communicate directly with clients regarding permits, submit plans and documents to the city, and ensure structural drawings are produced on time to a high quality. Review plans with the expeditor, attend in-person meetings with plan checkers to address corrections, and stay updated on changing building legislation and codes of practice. Handle tight deadlines with strong time management and people management skills while maintaining excellent customer service and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- thorough knowledge and experience in the processing of building permits
- Knowledge of building codes and technical standards
- proficient with AutoCAD
- ability to read and coordinate architectural, structural, and civil plans
- 2+ years' experience in processing building permits
