Job Summary
Lead design for a defined scope of projects in life sciences and related industries as Design Process Engineer III, coordinating with internal/external architects and engineers, clients, construction managers, trade partners and vendors. Manage scope, budget and schedule; establish priorities; mentor junior staff; develop PFDs/P&IDs and other design deliverables; perform technical bid tabulations, vendor package management, FAT, risk assessments, 3D model coordination, sequence of operations, and participate in cross-discipline reviews to ensure project quality. Requires ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years in a relevant setting; preferred EIT or PE; strong communication; familiarity with industry/regulatory codes; experience with construction activities, startup/commissioning, and related activities.
Required Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in discipline-specific field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operating company, design firm setting, or AE firm for a related industry
- Experience developing PFDs, P&IDs, process layouts, and design deliverables
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate experience with applicable Industry and Regulatory Guidance and statutory building codes
