Job Summary
Manage the design process by defining project expectations with customers, facilitating designer selection, and developing detailed construction schedules. Lead the design team to incorporate constructability and logistics while guiding estimating teams on technical design and cost documentation. Oversee design phase costs, manage regulatory approvals, and implement LEED tracking. Mentor team members, conduct performance evaluations, and gather feedback to model exceptional customer relations. Ensure risk management requirements are met and provide improvement suggestions for site work and logistics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Estimating, or equivalent field
- Minimum of six years relevant experience
- Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
- Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
- Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
- Ability to travel up to 100%
- Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status
