Job Summary
The Design Manager will oversee the design and scope process for fire alarm and special hazards projects, managing a design team while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and specifications. Prior NICET Level 3 certification in fire alarm systems is required, with Level 4 being preferred. Candidates should have significant experience with AutoCAD and excellent communication skills, along with proficiency in low voltage electrical wiring and life safety codes.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in fire alarm systems design
- NICET Level 3 certification in fire alarm systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to assess design compliance with NFPA and IBC codes
- Experience with construction plan drawing and drafting
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in fire alarm systems design
