Design Manager - Renewable Energy

Job Summary
Lead the design function for McCarthy Renewable Energy projects by managing design teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure coordinated documents supporting quality, cost, and execution goals. Develop design packaging strategies, define and monitor deliverables, and manage RFI processes to resolve construction issues. Conduct value analysis sessions, coordinate with owner vendors, and prepare RFPs for design firms. Prepare scopes of work, coordinate designs to control budgets, and build relationships with executive management, key owners, and architects. Engage with project teams to support field operations and lead continuous improvement processes to grow team capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in project or design management positions
- Strong facilitator capabilities
- Process oriented
- Ability to direct the design team to positive outcomes for the project
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in software programs (PowerPoint, MS Project, Excel, Word)
