Job Summary
Design roof and floor truss systems using MiTek or Alpine software, interpreting architectural and structural plans to develop accurate layouts. Ensure designs comply with building codes, engineering standards, and manufacturing requirements while reviewing projects for structural integrity, cost efficiency, and manufacturability. Serve as a technical leader for the design team, assisting with complex projects and mentoring junior designers to maintain quality and consistency. Coordinate closely with sales, production, and engineering teams to ensure smooth project flow through the design and manufacturing process. Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of truss design experience
- Experience with MiTek, Alpine, or similar truss design software
- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Proven experience designing residential and/or light commercial truss systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, engineering, and production teams
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a lead designer or supervisory role
