Job Summary
Lead and manage the design process for façade and cladding projects from pre-construction through to completion, coordinating consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure delivery safely, on programme, and within budget. Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and technical submissions while identifying risks and opportunities for value engineering. Chair design meetings, manage communication across stakeholders, and support procurement activities including consultant appointments. Attend site meetings to provide technical support during construction and assist with project handover, including O&M manuals and compliance documentation. Ensure all designs comply with Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act, and Guildmore's standards.
Required Qualifications
- Experience delivering high-rise residential or complex building projects
- Strong knowledge of façade systems, cladding solutions and remediation works
- Understanding of Building Regulations, Building Safety Act requirements and fire safety legislation
- Experience managing consultants, subcontractors and design information
- Ability to review drawings, identify technical issues and provide practical solutions
- Understanding of BIM and design coordination processes
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
- Confident working with clients, consultants and construction teams
- Commitment to delivering safe, compliant and high-quality projects
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using AutoCAD, Revit or similar design software
