Job Summary
Oversee design compliance, construction quality, and technical coordination on a large-scale Bronx project, ensuring design intent is properly implemented throughout construction. Review and coordinate RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, material samples, and mock-ups for design conformance while conducting field inspections, quality reviews, and pre-walks to support regulatory inspections and project milestones. Monitor project progress related to scope, quality, schedule, and cost, recommend corrective actions, and facilitate resolution of design and construction issues among stakeholders. Prepare field observation reports with documentation and track issues through final closeout. Ensure project documentation, quality processes, and records are properly maintained. Work 4 days a week on-site in the Bronx.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 15+ years of experience in design review, construction administration, field inspections, and quality assurance
- Experience with high-rise, public sector, or large complex construction projects
- Strong leadership, project management, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- 4 days a week on site required
Desired Qualifications
- Design-Build project experience strongly preferred
- Professional Architectural License preferred
- Familiarity with NYC regulatory agencies and permitting processes is a plus
