Design Manager

Design Manager in London responsible for managing the end-to-end design process for projects to meet customer requirements and framework deliverables. Lead design consultants, ensure contractual, financial, technical and operational risks are identified and mitigated, maximise value engineering opportunities, and support safe, on-time delivery to the required quality. Oversee appointment and performance of consultants, review fee proposals, coordinate CDP packages to align with CDM 2015 obligations and ensure designs consider health, safety and buildability. Manage design information flow across Design and Build and CDP contracts within programme constraints using the company’s CDE, and drive alignment of design outputs to relevant RIBA Stages. Requirements include experience in new build and refurbishment across commercial, residential, mixed-use, hotel developments; managing designers and consultants; strong problem-solving, decision-making, and teamwork; and relevant professional qualifications (CIOB/RIBA/RICS).
