Job Summary
Design Manager leading utility and grid-connection design projects up to 110/220kV; oversee and sign off design drawings to a high standard. Act as the credible, customer-facing point of contact, attend meetings, build relationships and represent the client technically. Comfortable owning and delivering €10–20m+ projects end to end, coordinating commissioning, procurement and delivery. Mentor and develop engineers in a growing, multinational team. Requires strong grid-connection experience and familiarity with the ESB system, based in Ireland with office-based role in Drogheda (Dublin region) and travel to project sites across Ireland and Europe.
Required Qualifications
- A relevant electrical / power engineering qualification, or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong grid-connection engineering experience up to 110/220kV, with intimate knowledge of the ESB system or a directly comparable utility environment.
- Proven project track record delivering large projects (€10–20m+), with ability to sign off design drawings.
- Comfortable leading client meetings and representing the business in client-facing contexts.
- Fluent English; excellent verbal and written communication.
