Job Summary
Lead design management across commercial Design & Construct projects valued up to $80 million, managing consultant teams from project conversion through to construction completion. Develop and manage design programmes to achieve milestones, identify value engineering opportunities, and resolve complex technical issues before construction begins. Collaborate with estimating, procurement, and project delivery teams to ensure design, programme, quality, and commercial objectives are met while building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement across design management processes and project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Significant Design Management experience within commercial construction
- Demonstrated success delivering Design & Construct projects
- Strong consultant management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience developing and managing design programmes
- A sound understanding of buildability, value engineering and design risk
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor and influence project teams
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related discipline
