Job Summary
Design Lead (Electrical DC) responsible for reviewing and executing engineering activities for Solar PV power plants, including generation estimate, overall plant layout, DC SLD, solar module selection, inverter sizing, SMB, earthing and cable sizing; will facilitate the development of BIM 3D models and coordinate with Civil/Structural, Instrumentation and MEP teams; provide pre-bid engineering support through commissioning and warranty periods, and lead a team of Design Engineers and Draughts Persons to deliver drawings and documents on schedule; duties include reviewing vendor deliverables, BOQ, and providing technical clarifications to the contracts team, while ensuring compliance with applicable National and International Codes and Standards for Solar PV power plants.
Required Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- 7–10 years of experience in design aspects of Solar PV Power Plants / Power Distribution Projects
- Strong knowledge of Generation Estimate, Overall plant Layout, DC SLD, Solar Module selection, Inverter Sizing, SMB, Earthing Layouts, Cable Sizing Calculations
- Experience coordinating with inter-departmental checks (Civil/Structural, Instrumentation, MEP) and supporting site execution through commissioning and warranty
- Ability to lead a team of Design Engineers and Draughts Persons; ensure on-time delivery and adherence to project schedules
- Familiarity with reviewing vendor drawings and BOQ; providing technical clarifications to contracts teams
- Knowledge of national and international codes and standards for electrical design in solar PV projects
- Experience with BIM 3D modeling for PV plants
- Excellent communication and client coordination skills
