Design Lead/Design Project Manager

Lead and manage design delivery for capital projects within a pharmaceutical/chemical manufacturing context. Drive identification and adherence to Engineering Design Standards, Functional Standards, Engineering Specifications, and Regulatory requirements. Coordinate and oversee all design activities across design phases, ensure alignment with project managers, and support development of design schedules, SOPs, and best practices. Collaborate with A/E firms, verify design intent through interactions with design teams, system owners, and end users, and support value engineering and KPI-focused reviews. Facilitate conflict resolution, influence stakeholders across site functions, and ensure design governance, verification planning, risk assessments, and traceability (including the Project Verification Plan and related deliverables) are maintained and improved. Promote efficient design processes, replication where applicable, and timely design decisions to meet project needs. Prefer experience in pharmaceutical process or project engineering, strong project management skills, and familiarity with capital project delivery and regulatory interfaces.
