Job Summary
Prepare engineering documents, drawings, and specifications for large, complex site development projects including water supply facilities, tunnels, and wastewater treatment systems. Review geotechnical reports, supervise design staff, and oversee outsourced engineering firm designs. Provide engineering design services during construction by reviewing shop drawings, responding to contractor requests, and conducting site investigations. Travel to job sites for equipment testing, inspections, and stakeholder meetings. Sign and seal drawings and project specifications. Requires a New York State Professional Engineer's License and four years of full-time civil engineering experience.
Required Qualifications
- Four (4) years of full-time, satisfactory experience in civil engineering work
- A valid New York State Professional Engineer's License
- Current New York State registration as a Professional Engineer
- At least one year within the last three years of experience as a major contributor or a project leader on a complex project requiring additional and specific expertise in the disciplines needed to design or construct the project
Desired Qualifications
- A masters degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
