Job Summary
Design Lead is the first in-house design leader for Cerbo and OptiMantra, owning the design function across two platforms with two design philosophies. You will build from scratch the design standards, a component library, and a shared design system, and own end-to-end user experiences for both platforms. The role is a player-coach position, with hands-on design work in Figma and direct collaboration with Product and Engineering. You will conduct usability sessions with clinicians and practice staff, shape AI-enabled workflows, and ship production-ready designs. Requirements include 7+ years in product design with leadership experience, a strong portfolio, systems thinking, UI/UX strength, Figma expertise, experience managing designers, ability to work across two products, and AI fluency in design processes. Location is Atlanta, GA in a hybrid arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of product design experience, with at least 2 leading a design team or function
- Portfolio showing complex workflows, data-dense screens, onboarding flows, and clean consumer-grade UI
- Systems thinker who builds design systems, not just screens
- Strong in UX and UI, expert in Figma, able to map clinical workflows end-to-end
- Experience managing designers (employees or contractors)
- Comfortable working across two products with different design philosophies
- Technically fluent to partner with front-end engineers, able to present rationale to PMs, engineers, and leadership
- Ability to use AI in the design process (prototyping, research synthesis, content generation) and provide concrete examples

- Healthcare or clinical software design experience (bonus)
- Experience building design systems

- Experience designing AI-powered features and incorporating AI into design processes
- Ability to work across multiple products with different design philosophies
- Strong communication and collaboration with product and engineering teams
