Job Summary
Senior Design Engineering Manager for thermoformed packaging leading a small design engineering team. Combines hands-on design of new parts with leadership of engineers, collaborating with customers in intake conversations, part reviews, and trials. Works cross-functionally with tooling, engineering, and manufacturing; spends time on the factory floor to ensure manufacturability. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (preferred), at least 5 years in thermoformed packaging design, at least 5 years in a highly regulated pharma/medical device environment, and proven team leadership with strong communication across internal and external teams. Onsite role in the Chicagoland area (IL, USA).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred in a technical field
- Must have at least 5 years of thermoformed packaging design
- Must have at least 5 years working in a highly regulated environment (pharma or medical device)
- Must have proven history of leading a team
- Proven ability to communicate effectively across a variety of internal and external teams
- This is an onsite role
