Job Summary
Design Engineer - Wet Utilities responsibilities include completing drawings, specifications, and other procurement/construction materials using CAE/CAD; preparing standard engineering computations, material takeoffs, estimates, and designs; creating equipment/material requisitions; reviewing supplier drawing submittals and performing technical bid analyses; preparing and issuing specifications and data sheets; providing input and technical guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers; and performing related duties to support water distribution and sewer network design. Proficiency with CAD and hydraulic design software (Bentley WaterGEMS/SewerGEMS) and a Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5 years of related experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field)
- 5 years of related work experience
- Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering
- Good knowledge of hydraulic design software, including Bentley WaterGEMS and SewerGEMS
