Job Summary
Senior Design Engineer to own architecture and implementation of significant surfaces of claude.com and anthropic.com, including design system code, page templates, interactive experiences, and data visualization systems; set technical direction and lead end-to-end web initiatives (migrations, redesigns, new product surfaces); evolve headless CMS architecture and content workflows; build internal tooling and design-system tooling; collaborate with Web Platforms, Security, Growth Product Engineering on deployments, performance, optimization, and incident response; establish architecture and technical standards, improve localization infrastructure, mentor mid-level engineers and contribute to hiring; must have deep experience shipping production web properties at scale, expertise in Next.js/React, led work on headless CMS platforms, and have shipped localized web properties; visa sponsorship available; location-based hybrid policy requiring at least 25% in office in San Francisco, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
- Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time
