Job Summary
This full-time Design Engineer role focuses on the engineering, designing, and drafting of prestressed concrete poles, including performing structural analysis and product design using Finite Element Methods and other software. Responsibilities include interpreting customer specifications, providing technical direction for design reviews, maintaining relationships with various departments, and supporting cost reduction and manufacturing changes. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with relevant experience and strong communication and design skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Strong communication skills
- Design and 3D CAD skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Mechanical/spatial aptitude
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Experience with transmission line design
- Experience with prestressed concrete
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis
- Experience with FEA testing
