Job Summary
Perform wall thickness and line sizing calculations for pressure vessels and piping systems while reviewing customer specifications and applicable codes. Prepare Bills of Materials for custom manufactured equipment and communicate with production, vendors, and customers. Apply ASME Code standards and utilize AutoCAD Mechanical Software for 2D designs, ensuring in-depth knowledge of welding and NDE. Requires 5+ years of real-world mechanical design experience with BSME/BSChemE degrees. Schedule is 40 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 4:30 or 9 to 5:30.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of real-world mechanical design experience utilizing ASME Code
- BSME/BSChemE
- Strong working knowledge of ASME Piping code (B31.1 / B31.3)
- Understanding and familiarity with fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, pressure vessels, Shell and tube Heat exchangers, Valves, and Piping Systems
- Proficient in AutoCAD Mechanical Software - 2D
- In depth knowledge of welding and NDE
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with RTP1
