Job Summary
Control/manage products from Quality, Cost, Design, and Delivery scope to achieve defined targets through Product Design activity. Interface with customers on all technical aspects of E&EDS Design by creating 2D WH drawings in Catia-V5/V6 and establishing alternative solutions for design review results. Countermeasure and troubleshoot electrical problems while supporting VA/VE investigations to meet cost targets. Lead design reviews, coordinate design changes between customers and internal organizations, and create supporting documents for internal and customer presentations. Support new business competition through application engineering of new technology and create testing specifications to validate product performance. 10-15% travel required within the US and Mexico; reasonable overtime required for design release schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required Engineering or related Technical field
- 3-5 years Design and /or Product Development experience
- Associate must be able to work at least three days in the office each week
- Associate must be available for reasonable overtime
- Associate must be willing to travel 10-15% within US (regionally) and Mexico
Desired Qualifications
- BSEE
- BSME
- Preferably, wire harness or related products in Automotive industry
- CATIA or other ES-CAD system experience
- Team oriented person
- Good communication skills
- Strong self-motivation for self-direction on challenging tasks
- Proficient with Microsoft office
