Job Summary
Assist in structural engineering efforts from design through construction on civil projects including highway bridges, pedestrian bridges, retaining walls, and hydraulic structures. Complete standard bridge engineering procedures using MicroStation and AutoCAD, performing prestressed concrete, steel, and structural design calculations while conducting cost estimations. Implement quality assurance procedures and perform field observation work as needed. This role supports state and local government agencies with designs supporting client project goals. Candidates must relocate to the Denver metropolitan area and hold an active Engineer Intern designation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering specializing in Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
- 0-3 of experience with a focus on structural design
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Working knowledge of applicable design codes, including: AASHTO LRFD 9th Edition, ACI 318-19, AISC 15th Edition, and others
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong communication and organizational skills
- A team-oriented individual with a desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client's overall project goals
- Active Engineer Intern (EI) designation in Colorado or another state
- Willingness to relocate to the Denver metropolitan area
