Job Summary
The Design Engineer - Structural is responsible for creating and developing innovative engineering designs and solutions. Key responsibilities include providing engineering design, calculations, preparation of plans and specifications, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local agency requirements. The role requires collaboration with project teams, as well as the ability to resolve field issues and review material submittals. Additionally, proficiency in analytical software such as ETABS, RAM, and Revit is essential, along with a foundational knowledge in structural design for concrete, steel, timber, and masonry. This position demands effective communication and teamwork skills, alongside producing technical documentation and participating in design reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with structural emphasis from accredited college or university; required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Maintain a valid drivers license
Desired Qualifications
- Masters of Science Degree in Structural Engineering preferred
- Experience with analytical software (such as ETABS, RAM, etc.) and Revit; preferred
