Job Summary
The position involves designing, modeling, and coordinating civil/structural elements for Sentinel Launch Facilities, requiring expertise in high complexity civil/structural systems. Responsibilities include overseeing design for structural steel and concrete elements, validating project deliverables against industry standards, conducting design/model reviews, and managing design change requests with stakeholders. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with experience depending on the level, an active DoD Secret security clearance, and familiarity with relevant engineering codes and practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 2 years’ experience for Design Engineer
- 5 years’ experience for Principal Design Engineer
- Active DoD Secret security clearance
- Knowledge of engineering deliverables, such as drawings and UFGS specifications
- Experience with site development, grading, utilities, stormwater management
- Extensive knowledge of cost estimation of site civil improvements
- Experience with structured trade studies to evaluate alternative design solutions
- Civil/Structural design experience on MILCON or major infrastructure/building projects
- Knowledge of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), American Concrete Institute (ACI), International Building Code (IBC) and Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) codes and standards
