Job Summary
Attend project kick-off meetings to confirm scope, contract requirements, and Level of Development before modeling begins. Create 3D models in Revit for interior and exterior walls, framing, ceilings, and specialty scopes, ensuring spatial coordination and compliance with project documents. Coordinate with point cloud files, run clash detection in Navisworks Manage, and resolve conflicts to maintain model accuracy. QC models against deliverables, process install drawings, and produce layout files for field use. Clean and organize CAD/Navisworks files while creating project-specific content aligned with in-house BIM standards. Actively engage with the Design, Operations, and service provider teams to implement best practices and communicate BIM/VDC benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline (Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture, Engineering Fields, etc.) preferred
- 2-year technical degree or 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- 4+ years of BIM (Revit)/VDC modeling and coordination experience
- Must possess proficiency with software platforms including Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, and BIM 360 Design/Glue
- Must present a portfolio demonstrating work in Revit and Revit Family Editor
- Experience with Bluebeam PDF Software
- Ability to understand design and document coordination
- Ability to take responsibility for the outcome and results of assigned projects
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
- Ability to work in a team environment and have durations of independent/isolated/unsupervised environments
- Project management skills
- Ability to communicate the benefits of BIM/VDC for internal and external purposes
- Passion about BIM/VDC and how it can be used to improve the productivity of those who work in design and construction
- Ability to multitask under pressure and handle last-minute requests
- Must be flexible and willing to visit project sites and areas of importance as required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with cleanroom, non-structural metal framing, drywall, façade systems, and ceiling systems preferred
- Working knowledge of Dynamo, Revit API, and SketchUp
