Design Engineer

Job Summary
Lead frontend development by building high-quality user interfaces with thoughtful interactions, great performance, and attention to detail. Own the entire journey from rough concepts to polished features in production, collaborating with six product designers, product managers, and engineers to turn ideas into fast, intuitive experiences. Build and extend design systems and component libraries, utilizing Figma's developer tooling to keep design and code in sync. Develop internal tools, prototypes, and design-to-code infrastructure used across the organization, exercising judgment on when to build for speed versus scale. Work primarily in our Stockholm office with a hybrid policy of four days in-office and Wednesday remote days.
Required Qualifications
- Strong fundamentals in modern frontend development - Vue, React or similar architecture
- Experience building and extending design systems and component libraries in code
- Experience working with Figma's developer tooling (Code Connect, Dev Mode, variables, component properties)
- A track record of building internal tools, prototypes, and design-to-code infrastructure
- Skillset to take promising prototypes from rough exploration to polished, production-quality features
- Good judgment on when to build for speed versus when to build for scale
- Based in Stockholm, Sweden
- Hybrid work policy includes four days in the office and Wednesdays as a work-from-home day
- Six-month probationary period applies
