Job Summary
R&D-focused Design Engineer responsible for designing, documenting, and validating automotive components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. Develops and documents project specifications and data types, conducts tests to ensure design feasibility and reliability, coordinates with production engineering to prepare manufacturing drawings and specifications, ensures all drawings are approved before production release, implements design modifications and substitutions, develops prototypes to meet specifications, and collaborates with internal and external technology specialists and vendors to integrate changes and improvements.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience with product development, manufacturing, and production in automotive
