Job Summary
Design technical ceramic products and assemblies while conducting engineering and manufacturing feasibility reviews for new and modified enquiries. Generate CAD models and detailed drawings to BS8888, maintain accurate design records including B.O.Ms, and carry out product realisation activities compliant with ISO9001. Provide timely responses during development, support sales with product and technical information, and liaise with customers as required. Manage allocated projects to reduce lead times for new product introduction, design production tooling, and collaborate with subcontractors to ensure cost-effective manufacture. Support operations through route cause analysis and problem solving while researching methods to improve future prospects.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to learn and understand complex technical products and convert this into manufactured products to a high-quality standard
- Demonstrate success in developing and improving complex manufacturing processes
- Possess a good level of technical competence
- Qualified to HNC level or above in an Engineering / technical discipline

- Understanding of ceramic and/or refractory materials
