Job Summary

Design Engineer-Mechanical at PEC will design on multiple projects, prepare design deliverables, and utilize BIM/CAD software along with hand and computer-based calculations. The role involves coordinating with internal/external design staff, performing construction documents and specifications production in line with building codes, conducting construction administration activities including submittal reviews, site investigations, and RFI responses, and organizing project information per PEC standards. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, with experience in AutoDesk Revit, AutoDesk AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, TRANE TRACE 700 or equivalent HVAC loads software, and knowledge of Mechanical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems. Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required; Engineer in Training Certification is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and related software is expected; ability to work independently and collaboratively. Office setting with physical requirements and mobility described as part of the role.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (ABET Accredited)
  • Engineer in Training Certification preferred
